Unusual Garda Lake by boat
Description:
One day trip in the 3 Regions - Riva del Garda ( Trentino ) , Limone ( Lombardia ), Malcesine
( Veneto)
Enjoy a one-day trip around the beautiful villages of the Veneto region. Explore Riva del Garda,
Limone sul Garda, and Malcesine, starting from one of the three of your choice.
Situated at the northern end of Lake Garda in northern Italy, Riva del Garda is among the highlights
of a visit to the region. Explore the old town with the waterfront fortress founded by the Scaligeri
lords from Verona in the 14th century. Enjoy a walk around the moat, the port area, and the pastel-
colored houses. Visit the Clocktower, Palazzo Pretorio, Palazzo Vecchio, and Piazza San Rocco,
surrounded by medieval and contemporary monuments and palaces. Explore the old town, with
buildings in both the Renaissance and Baroque styles, and visit the most impressive church in Riva
del Garda, the Church of the Virgin.
Limone sul Garda is a charming place on the Northern end of Lake Garda. Enjoy the promenade
along cafes and little shops and stroll around the almost hidden harbor with a few boats
surrounded by flowered house balconies.
Visit the historic center, with its narrow little paths. Explore the Lemon House called Del Castel, which
opened in the 18th century and was the core of the citron industry, an essential part of the town's
history until the end of the 19th century.
Malcesine is a lovely village on the northeast shore of Lake Garda. Visit Palazzo dei Capitani with its
beautiful garden, built by the Scaliger family in the 13th century. Walk to the picturesque harbor
and then continue to the oldest part of Malcesine, toward Piazza Turazza and Piazza Cavour,
enjoying the town's narrow alleys, shops, and ice cream places.
