On this tour, we have organized a full day of activity that comprises hiking among the
Dolomiti mountain range and lunch atop one of the mountain lodges and a pleasant
walk in the glam Cortina d’Ampezzo . Starting the day from Forestis Dolomites , we will
welcome you aboard our helicopter that will take you to one of the most beautiful and
scenic alpine landscape in the world: Cinque Torri, or Five Towers, striking for their light
pearl grey color of the stone.
Along the way, you might see some bold adventure scaling the towers; the Dolomites are
a favorite among rock climbers due to its huge variety of the challenging cliffs and
surfaces. You might also see that the rock surfaces sometimes still bear traces of the
battles once fought here during WWI. After the morning excursion, we will stop to have
lunch atop the Rifugio Scoiattoli, or Squirrel Lodge. The lodge was built by a local alpine
guide, who still still runs it together with his family. They offer traditional, home cooked style
food, but updated for a modern palate. Nestled in a cozy indoor terrace overlooking all
five of the towers, it is the perfect place to have lunch before heading by car to Cortina
city center for a relaxing walk in the luxury stores of Cortina.
